I have recently bought a house near Stroud and my favourite new thing to do is shop at Stroud’s Farmers’ Market at the weekend. The whole local community goes every Saturday and you bump into all of your friends while buying local produce. The range and quality is fantastic. The market was voted Famers’ Market of the Year by the Radio 4 Food Programme in 2010. The food on offer to eat while you are shopping is delicious so I recommend going at lunchtime. You are surrounded by beautiful hills and valleys so you can walk it off afterwards.
